Fromage & cime

Raclette and mountain lovers? Fromage & Cime was created for you! The presence of numerous mountain pastures turns our resort into a Valais raclette festival, giving you the chance to sample the delicious flavours of the region. The 2023 edition took place on Sunday 17 September, and was once again a great success. This year, Fribourg was our guest of honour, and the raclette made with Vacherin Fribourgeois won over the Valaisans;

With around fifteen cheese-makers taking part, Fromage et Cime is the emblematic event of the commune of Ovronnaz-Leytron!

To enhance the day’s events, a number of other local products have been added to the culinary offerings, including wood-fired bread, Valaisan dishes, fruit juices and honey. Exceptional vintages were also on offer, thanks to the presence of the region’s wine producers. The day was enlivened by local and regional music groups. Children also enjoyed the day thanks to the presence of the games library.

A total of 2,500 people turned out to taste 7,000 raclettes.
