For one weekend, Ovronnaz celebrates the very best of Valais raclette. Saturday shines a spotlight on the local flavours and producers of Leytron, while Sunday brings together around fifteen cheesemakers and alpine producers from across the region to celebrate this special 20th edition.

Over the course of a weekend, the resort celebrates the very best of Valais raclette. A Saturday dedicated to showcasing the local produce of Leytron and a Sunday featuring around fifteen cheesemakers and alpine dairies from the region form the programme for this 20th edition. This anniversary year has a few new features in store that are not to be missed!

2026 also marks the 10th anniversary of the Fromage & Cime d’Or 🏆 competition, where a jury chaired by Claude Luisier will award a prize to the best raclette cheese

🧀 Mini Fromage & Cime

Saturday, 19 September | 4:00–8:00 pm
It’s time for an aperitif with the local artisans and alpine dairy farmers from the commune of Leytron.
On the day, you’ll find: raclette from Odonne and Loutze, the winemakers of Leytron (Cave Le Bosset and Defayes Crettenand), the Chalet Gourmand and Maya the Bee.Throughout the evening, there’ll be live music and a raclette-making demonstration.Live music provided by the band The Anthony’s

🧀 20th Edition of Fromage & Cime

Sunday, 20 September | 10:00 am–5:00 pm
We are celebrating the 20th edition with over 15 mountain pastures taking part and a guest of honour: the canton of Vaud, represented by the Col de Chaude mountain pasture. You’ll also find our local produce stalls on site, featuring the winemakers from Leytron, Fully and Chamoson, the Chalet Gourmand, the Délice, Maya l’Abeille and Leemann Fruits.

There’ll be plenty of entertainment too, featuring the Adonis band (Alpine horns), the Muvranis men’s choir and the Pharateuse Guggen band. For families, there’ll be a milking workshop running all weekend, a glitter tattoo stand, and a children’s area organised by Raiffeisen with a treasure hunt.

From Milk to Raclette Workshop – in collaboration with the Swiss Taste Week
Find out how milk is turned into raclette cheese through a fun workshop featuring a simulated cow milking session and educational display boards.
A free activity, with no booking required, ideal for young and old alike.
