Alpage d'Odonne
The Odonne mountain pasture has been transformed with the addition of a new cheese dairy and a charming refreshment bar. This haven of peace is less than an hour away. Until the first week of July, you can meet the Hérens cows, while the dairy cows will be staying for a further two weeks.
To reach the mountain pasture, leave your car at the sports centre or Téléovronnaz car park. The path starts at the very top of the sports centre car park. Follow the forest path that crosses the ski area and winds through the forest. Once you reach the mountain pasture, take time to admire the scenery and refresh yourself at the refreshment bar. Just below the mountain pasture is an area dedicated to barbecues/picnics, follow the signs.
To get back down, you can take the path that starts in the contour and descends fairly steeply through the forest, or follow the same route as the way up.
For those who prefer to use the chairlift, it is possible to reach the Odonne mountain pasture from the top of the chairlift. From mid-July onwards, don't miss the opportunity to stop off at the Bougnogne mountain pasture to watch the herd of cows.
