Alpage d'Odonne
The Odonne alpine meadow has been transformed with the addition of a new cheese dairy and a charming refreshment stand. In less than an hour, you can easily reach this peaceful haven. Until the first week of July, you can meet the Hérens cows, while the dairy cows will extend their stay for an additional two weeks.
To reach the alpine meadow, leave your car at the parking lot of the sports center or Téléovronnaz. The trail begins at the top of the sports center parking lot. Follow the forest path that crosses the ski area and winds through the forest. Once you reach the alpine meadow, take the time to admire the landscape and refresh yourself at the stand. Just below the meadow, there is a designated barbecue/picnic area; follow the signs.
To return, you can take the trail that starts at the contour and descends steeply through the forest, or you can retrace the same route as the ascent.
For those who prefer to use the chairlift, it is possible to reach the Odonne alpine meadow from the top of the lift. Starting in mid-July, don't miss the chance to visit the Bougnogne alpine meadow to observe the herd of cows.
