Legends Trail

You don't know the story of the witch of Buitonne in Fully, the Ghost of the Meadows of Saillon, or the Vouivre of the Poteux of Leytron?

Then take the Legends Trail and discover, with your family, these fascinating tales from our region through seven panels along the path.

Starting from Tourbillon, above Ovronnaz, follow the Grande Corniche. The forest road leads into the woods, crosses the Salentse, and continues towards Plan Passé. From there, the path rejoins the river and Lui Teise (cross-country ski track). Choose the Petite Corniche to return to Tourbillon.

The seven educational panels are fairly close to one another, allowing you to stroll accompanied by the Ghost of the Meadows of Saillon, the Witch of Buitonne in Fully, or the Vouivre of the Poteux of Leytron. Sculptures enhance the walk.

These captivating stories magically transport you into the daily life of our ancestors. Evenings spent by the fireside were times of both work and sharing. Tasks became less tedious thanks to the storyteller.

This trail combines hiking and cultural discovery. A game booklet is available at the Tourist Office.

Benches are placed along the way, and picnic areas are set up at Tourbillon and Plan Passé.

All-terrain strollers are welcome.
