Handpan et Rav Vast

Handpan and Rav Vast

Every Thursday from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM

The Handpan is a handcrafted musical instrument that originated in Switzerland. Initially named the “Hang” by its creators, referring to “the hand” in Swiss German, it has its roots in the Ghatam. It produces melodious and original percussion sounds.

The Rav Vast is a Russian instrument inspired by the Handpan, with a similar shape, note arrangement, and playing technique. However, its sounds are longer and richer in harmonics than those of the Handpan.

Let yourself be captivated by their enchanting sounds and discover how to play them through an outdoor initiation session. No prior musical or rhythmic knowledge is required to join us.

The initiations are led by Gaël Robert, an intuitive musician who has been organizing discovery workshops, sound journeys, and offering private lessons for over 7 years in Ardon for these instruments.
