Little Run of Ovronnaz
Starting from Ovronnaz, head to the Odonne alpine pasture. The trail climbs through the forest, crosses the Odonne alpine pasture, then reaches the Quieu alpine pasture before connecting to Grand' Garde and its magnificent view of the Rhône Valley.
From Grand-Garde, follow the trail along the ridge to the Seya Cross and its breathtaking panorama of the Alps and Ovronnaz, then descend towards the Luî d’Août lodge. Next, head to the Grand Château for a challenging ascent.
Upon reaching a grassy plateau, you might have the chance to spot some specimens of alpine wildlife. Continue to the Grand Pré d'Euloi, then Jorasse.
Finally, reach the Saille alpine pasture and join the route of the Ovronnaz-Rambert mountain race. Conquer the slopes as the trail takes you past the Rambert hut, to the Forcla Pass with a rocky section where you can discover the lake of the same name. A steep and technical descent brings you back to the Chamosentse stables.
Then, follow the forest road to the alpine pasture and the Loutze refreshment stand. Enjoy a well-deserved break before continuing, and don't forget to grab some cheese and tomme from the adjacent dairy.
