The project

Téléovronnaz SA is currently working on redeveloping its ski area to ensure the long-term viability of its winter activities. While significant and successful steps have been taken to boost the summer and autumn seasons, winter still accounts for 75% of total resort activity and 85% of its turnover.

The key actions of the project are:

1. Replacement of the Petit Pré ski lift with a detachable 4-seater chairlift;

2. Creation of a new access route to the Châtillon slope via the Col de la Forcle, and a black run from the Col to Ovronnaz (760 m vertical drop) via Châtillon and the Petite Creuse;

3. Elimination of the old Châtillon ski lift and its intersections with ski runs.

The project aims to ensure that the ski area will be serviced by a reduced number of modern, comfortable lifts while also improving access to its sunny, family-friendly slopes.

Funding

As of March 2020, tourism has been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. These challenging times might have deterred us from going ahead with our projects. However, Téléovronnaz SA is very confident about the future of the resort.

Financing interventions totalling CHF 6.5 million are required. A CHF 2.5 million increase in share capital is mandatory. The Commune of Leytron has already committed CHF 1 million (in addition to a CHF 2 million guarantee on loans to be taken out to finance this project), and talks are currently in progress with the Communes of Chamoson and Saillon. We need your support too in order to secure the required financing.

Increase in share capital

By underwriting the increase in the share capital of Téléovronnaz SA, you will be contributing to the growth of the resort and the region, hence preserving its appeal and increasing its value. You will also be entitled to an annual rebate of CHF 4 per share on season passes, tickets and all purchases at our mountain restaurant.

Execution of the project is subject to the completion of all administrative (authorisations) and financial procedures. If such procedures are not completed, the Board of Directors will not request the release (payment) of the subscribed amount.

The commissioning of the project is expected to take place by the winter of 2022-2023.
